Foundry Brings Home Medals From NAGA

Previous Article | Next ArticleThis past weekend a crew of 6 students from The Foundry made the trip down to RI to compete in the NAGA New England Championship. Everyone had a great showing and did very well. For some, this was their first tournament, and their first chance to put it all on the line. We are very proud of you all. Keep up the hard work and dedication.
Results: Bryce won with an armbar and took silver. Shawn won with an armbar to take 2nd in a 6-man in the No Gi and then took home ANOTHER silver in the brown belt Gi division. David took home the silver and only missed first place by 1 advantage! Zack won his first match with an outstanding score, I believe it was 10-0. Bri took home silver in her division as well. Jon took silver as well in his Gi division.
All our students won matches! The next class and upcoming weeks we will be recapping the tournament and looking for ways to improve. See you on the mats!

I had a great time! I think I caught the competition bug but need to get over the full body soreness.

O.K. I just can't resist some commentary... Adam looking to the side "get me out of here." Brant out back talking, while I resist turning around to talk with him. Shawn looking ahead with so many NAGA competitions under his belt thinking "dis my house." Dave looking off into the distance "where is that guy, advantage... next time I choke for his neck"
