The Foundry Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Academy, ignited a firestorm at this past weekend's Maine Skirmish Grappling Competition. Seven of The Foundry team members arrived at the Maine Skirmish this weekend with the intention of testing their skills against other schools from the state, and exercising the many techniques they have diligently been working to develop. Several of The Foundry's students were veteran competitors who have competed at both in state competitions and national competitions, and other students were stretching their jiu jitsu wings for the first time. Upon entering Winslow High School Sunday afternoon, where the competition took place, nerves were high, and the tension and excitement of the moments that lay ahead was ever present. All members of the team exhibited exceptional effort, commitment, and sportsmanship that was well received by all their opponents. After an afternoon of pure exhilaration, and leaving it all out on the mats, The Foundry Team had collected quite a gratifying many belts, trophies, and medals. Congratulations to all team members for a job well done.

Seth said it all. Everyone won matches tons of submssions like a dozen wins altogether that says it all. Competing as the family that we are forges a strong team.

I'm proud of EVERYONE that stepped on the mat and thanks to our training partners who helped us prepare (and our film crew and fans). A shout out to Noel and Jon who started it all and our instructors Seth and Bri for keeping things going strong.
